Quarterly Update

Welcome to the July 2015 Quarterly Update for the e3Learning Course Library

The purpose of this report is to keep you informed of changes and updates to e3’s library of courses. Your Account Manager will be able to assist you in implementing any changes you select to your course range.

This Quarterly Update contains the following sections:

  • New courses – new titles that have been added to the e3 Library.
  • Updated courses – existing e3 courses which have been updated.
  • Removed courses – courses that are no longer supported and updated by e3.
  • Partner courses – new and updated partner courses.
  • Next steps – instructions for how to get changes applied to your course range and further information to help you decide how to proceed.

The unit number for each course included in this report is indicated before the course title. Please reference these numbers in your communications with your Account Manager to help ensure all changes are implemented correctly.

New Courses:

This section contains new courses that have been released this quarter and are now available. If you are interested in adding any of the following titles to your current courseware, please contact your Account Manager. The pricing of course updates and additional titles will depend on your contractual agreement with e3.

Unit 9063 – Manual Handling

This course, reviewed by the National Safety Council of Australia, has been designed to provide you with an understanding of the risks associated with manual handling and an awareness of how to perform those tasks safely. The course has been developed to comply with Victorian occupational health and safety legislation.

 

Unit 9053 – Duty of Care for Victorian Employees

This course will provide employees governed by Victorian legislation with an understanding of how to fulfil their duty of care to help maintain the health and safety of the workplace.

 

Unit 9054 – Duty of Care for Victorian Managers and Supervisors

This course has been developed to provide an overview and understanding of occupational health and safety (OHS) responsibilities at each level of the workplace and a practical understanding of how to fulfil duty of care responsibilities as a manager or supervisor.

 

Updated Courses:

This section contains courses that have been updated this quarter and details of the changes. The new unit number for the most recent version is included before the course title. Please note: if you have a customised version of any of these courses, your custom version has not been updated.
If you would like to change to the latest version of any of the following courses, please contact your Account Manager. The pricing of course updates and additional titles will depend on your contractual agreement with e3.

Unit 6718 – Equal Employment Opportunity for Employees

This course, independently reviewed by Sparke Helmore Lawyers, has been designed to provide you with an understanding of equal employment opportunity (EEO) and discrimination.

The new version features:

  • This course has been updated to reflect current legislation and industry best practices.
  • Increased activities for improved interactivity.
  • Multi-device compatibility.

Unit 6719 – Equal Employment Opportunity for Managers and Supervisors

This course provides managers and supervisors with an understanding of equal employment opportunity (EEO) and discrimination. This course has been independently reviewed by Sparke Helmore Lawyers.

Unit 9031 – Armed Robbery Safety Awareness

This course will provide general information on how robbery related risks should be managed. This course will provide you with an understanding of how your behaviour can help to protect your safety and the safety of others during a robbery related incident.

The new version features:

  • Multi-device compatibility.

Unit 9974 – Hazardous Chemicals for Managers and Supervisors

This course will provide general information on how robbery related risks should be managed. This course will provide you with an understanding of how your behaviour can help to protect your safety and the safety of others during a robbery related incident.

The new version features:

  • Multi-device compatibility.

Removed Courses:

This section contains courses that have been removed from our course library. Courses are generally only removed due to broad changes in legislative compliance requirements.

Clients who currently have enrol permissions for any of the following courses will still have access to these titles for the length of their contract, should they choose to continue using them. However, e3 will no longer update these titles.

If you wish to remove or update any of the following titles from your courseware, please contact your Account Manager.

The legislation on which the following courses are based on, are being made obsulte by legislation changes currently going through the NZ Parliament. As a result, the below courses are now redundant and will no longer be supported by e3Learning. Replacement courses are not currently planned.

This course, created by Eassure, covers Records Management Awareness specific to NSW. Good recordkeeping and records management is a legal obligation for all government employees, consultants and contractors (federal, state and local).

Unit 15416 – Records Management Awareness – NT

This course, created by Eassure, covers Records Management Awareness specific to NT. Good recordkeeping and records management is a legal obligation for all government employees, consultants and contractors (federal, state and local).

Unit 15413 – Records Management Awareness – QLD

This course, created by Eassure, covers Records Management Awareness specific to QLD. Good recordkeeping and records management is a legal obligation for all government employees, consultants and contractors (federal, state and local).

Unit 15417 – Records Management Awareness – SA

This course, created by Eassure, covers Records Management Awareness specific to SA. Good recordkeeping and records management is a legal obligation for all government employees, consultants and contractors (federal, state and local).

Unit 10100 – Records Management Awareness – TAS

Unit 8378 – Records Management Awareness – VIC

Unit 10101 – Records Management Awareness – WA

Pricing

The pricing of course updates and additional titles will depend on your contractual agreement with e3. Changing additional features, such as Training Plans or Training Automation may also incur fees. Your Account Manager will be able help you review your current set-up and advise on what options will be right for you.

Automatic updates

e3 is committed to keeping our Course Library continuously updated to reflect changes to legislation and industry best practice. We are also committed to providing our clients with the flexibility to implement tailored solutions to suit their training needs, such as Training Plans and Training Automation. For this reason we will never update clients from their existing training without first consulting with them.

Customisations of e3 Library courses

If you have a customised version of any of e3’s Library courses, your custom version has not been updated. If you wish to update your custom version to match changes reflected in e3’s latest units or move to e3’s generic unit, please contact your Account Manager.

Rolling your users over to new course versions

You may want to notify users that their training is going to be updated and allow them time to complete any training they have already started. If you would like to arrange a specific date to roll-over your users, please discuss this with your Account Manager. Please note that this will need to be arranged at least 2 weeks in advance of the rollover date you select.
